For the past couple of years, our sister hotel, the Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, has been partnering with local non-profit, community-based organizations to put on fund-raising dinner that are open to the public, and made possible by the generosity of the hotel and its staff.
Since these dinners have been so well-received by the community in Sturbridge, we thought it would be worthwhile to offer the same chance to deserving organizations here in Salem as well!
We are now seeking applications from a variety of organizations who wish to partner with us to help in their fundraising process. Not all who apply will be chosen, and the decision of the Hawthorne Hotel Charitable Giving Committee is final
Here is how it works:
~Dinner are hosted on a limited basis, generally once a month, and is usually on a Monday-Thursday night.
~Dinners are open to the public, and are family-friendly events.
~The menus rotate, and include comfort food favorites such as Traditional Thanksgiving, New England Basics, Italian Night and Chicken Night.
~The worthy non-profit recipient is chosen from the applications we receive.
~Tickets are only $15 per person and are sold in advance by the organization, as well as at the door. Tickets are non-refundable and may only be used for the date of the particular event.
~Seating is first-come, first-serve. Meals are served buffet style.
~Hawthorne Hotel staff who want to do community service work offer their time on a volunteer basis in order to make these dinners affordable. Therefore a significant portion of each ticket sale is given to the non-profit.
~Applications to apply for consideration are available here with the Request Form.
